There will be both challenging and simple activities to do. Avoid delaying the difficult tasks and tackling them during the day's end because your energy may have already diminished by then. Before moving on to things that are simple for you to complete, finish the tasks that are the most challenging for you. 3. Before saying yes, give each project careful thought.

It makes sense that independent contractors would want to get as many assignments as they can. They believe it to be a brand-new chance that they don't want to turn down, especially since it will help them pay their expenses and, with any luck, pave the way for future financial independence and professional success.

There aren't really any inherent advantages to managing additional clients. You can even experience a lot of difficulties maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Again, since you spend the majority of your time at home, it can be tempting to want to take on new responsibilities. However, when you say yes, you have a duty to your client, so think carefully before taking on any additional assignments. You might receive a lot of assignments, but you don't want to risk your wellbeing and effectiveness. Take on a job that you are certain you can do. Otherwise, you risk feeling overwhelmed and having your progress slowed. Accept tasks that are within your capabilities. Keep in mind to take your time and concentrate on one task at a time.

4. Enjoy Breaks

You should include breaks in your schedule. These breaks give your mind a chance to relax and recharge so that you are ready to tackle a new activity when it comes along. When breaks are planned and controlled, you can work more effectively. Even a brief pause of 15 minutes might be quite beneficial for recharging your brain. Do not think of a break as a waste of time, rather look at it as an energy boost, an opportunity to recharge. Just be wary of the time. 

5. Organize everything at home.

If you don't live alone and are working from home or remotely, your unofficial "colleagues" will be your family or friends. Clearly define your boundaries with them. They ought to be aware of your availability and availability restrictions.

If at all feasible, coordinate your schedules with your housemates. You must pay attention to calls or teleconferences to be sensitive to everyone. 

Aside from that, decluttering also helps freelancers become more productive. It might be hard for you to declutter if you own a lot of items. Let go of those that don’t serve you anymore in any way and you’ll notice that you’re making space for new items that can help you live a better quality of life. You can also tackle decluttering storage areas of your house so that you can transfer items—those you decided to keep but don’t necessarily use—in these areas. Take the garage for instance. Install smart storage solutions such as wall shelves and overhead storage racks in the garage so that you maximize its storing capacity, organize your items, and still be able to use the garage space for other things such as exercising or doing woodwork.
