It's a brand-new year. One thing is sure: you cannot escape this aspect, uh, reality, whether it thrills or frightens you. And that's because it's finally time to take down the Christmas decorations and put them away for a solid 11 months. It's possible that we're still not ready to accept that Christmas is over. To prepare our houses for the new year with a fresh start and plenty of room, we should do so as the new year has finally arrived.

Most of the time, packing Christmas decorations is a complicated process for many. When people are pleasantly stunned to find damaged decorations year after year, they begin to wonder why they even try. And to think that they were pretty diligent when putting up the decorations. These sentiments have every right to exist. We know how frustrating it may be since we've been there. However, there is hope. The instructions for safely keeping the holiday decorations are provided below.

Christmas trees made of synthetic materials

It is essential to consider how much space will be needed to store an artificial Christmas tree before making a purchase. In order to have enough storage, especially if the tree you want is a full-sized one, one has to have enough room. That being said, feel free to carry that tree home if you have an additional square foot to spare.

The post-holiday cleaning process must now begin. First things first: take off all tree decorations and lights. It would only result in broken items if they were left there while the tree was being disassembled. Take a moist towel or vacuum to dust off the branches. It may be possible to determine how much dust a tree has acquired over time by counting the days it has been standing. You also do not wish to store the tree filled with all the dust inside. Imagine opening it up the next year and being greeted by dust particles that can make you sick with allergic rhinitis.

Dismantling the tree is the second step. While the more giant trees must be removed piece by piece, the smaller ones may be folded. Then, wrap it in plastic to offer an extra layer of protection against moisture and to ensure the unruly branches are handled safely. If it is kept free of moisture while in a damp environment, a self-adhesive is not enough to work. Additional measures must be taken.

A sturdy box or bag made of materials like canvas or PVC should be used to store the tree. It might not be a brilliant idea to store it in a cardboard box because they aren't as durable as you'd expect. Additionally, it may develop pests and molds, particularly when exposed to moisture and humidity.

Holiday Lighting

It's a hassle to package Christmas lights. No matter how carefully you handle them, they always come up tangled, making the process of untangling them seem never-ending. It could become jumbled.

The lights may be kept tangle-free in three simple methods.

Make use of a cardboard cutout. Grab a thicker, more durable piece of cardboard, like one from a packing box or illustration board. When the lights are wrapped around a piece of light material, they will wrinkle or fold. On the cardboard rectangle's one side, cut a notch. It depends on you whether to cut the notch on the width or length side because both options will work. After that, neatly wrap the lights around. Put the string's end into another notch when you're finished. Tissue paper should then be used to cover the lights.
Hangers can be used to store them. To make wrapping simple, choose a hanger that has a little hook on the side. Put the light's tip within the hook. Once on the opposite side of the hanger, continue wrapping the lights around it. Work your way back to the original side gently if the lights still have a few inches to go. Continue doing this until there is no longer thread hanging. Put it into the hook when you get to the end. Put tissue paper around the hanger. Finally, put the hanger inside the box or hang it in a secure and convenient location.
Wrap simply and gently. The second light on the string should be pinched between your thumb and index finger. Place the fourth light next to the second one after pulling it out. Align the even light to the top of your palm and the odd light to the bottom, following this pattern. After matching up each light, round the string with the remaining cord. To secure the group of lights, use the plugs.

Ornaments for the holiday

Depending on the size of your storage, several methods for storing the decorations may be helpful. Storage containers with cardboard dividers can be used if you have an additional room or are ready to give up a few square feet. A Ziploc bag or transparent box should be used instead of wrapping them in paper or tissue paper. Fragile decorations are considered more secure in this way.

Storage You Can Trust: FLEXIMOUNTS GR48H HOOKS 4′ X 8′ OVERHEAD GARAGE STORAGE RACK

And the most crucial step when storing seasonal items such as holiday decorations is finding a cabinet or rack that is sturdy and neat. While vertical racks are viable storage solutions, we opt to use ceiling-mounted racks. It frees up valuable floor space and lessens the risk of accidentally knocking over the rack, which will only damage the decorations.

This durable and heavy-duty overhead storage system provides a safe place to organize your stuff. Its heavy-gauge cold-rolled steel construction provides safety loading up to 600 lbs. The integrated wire grid design and frame are welded together, making the unit more sturdy and stable.

The Fleximount storage rack has thicker screws compared to other products. The height of the rack can be adjusted from 22" to 40", providing a convenient and safe place to store your stuff. It is also waterproof, so you need not worry about water damage that may happen in your storage rack.

Aside from that, its integrated grid design is made easier for assembly. Even non-mechanical people can easily understand and assemble the storage rack.

The package comes with 4 pcs flat hooks and 2 pcs utility hooks.
