2 Most Overlooked Bicycle Accessories
September 10, 2021

What’s in your bicycle accessory checklist? Helmet? Check. Anti-fall elbow pads and knee pads? Check. Cycling clothes? Bought five pairs. Bike lights? Got a powerful headlight and tail light. Mini pump? Attached next to the water bottle. There may be more on your list. The more you venture into cycling, the list of accessories will grow day by day as there are infinite kinds that will specifically cater to a certain need.
However, we often overlook the need to secure our bicycles. For one, you are not on your bike 24 hours a day and seven days a week. More often, the bicycles are left unattended in one corner of our house. Some are left on the porch or on the patio. Some are left-leaning on garage walls. And the bicycles are subjected to changing temperatures and moisture build-up. Bicycles left standing may cause external damages, and deterioration of the bicycle mechanics.
And when transporting our bikes, having them lay down on the cargo bed of the pickup truck may result in damages as well, especially if the roads going to the bike location are rough and the storage is not secured. If you own folding bikes, then it would be less of a headache, if not, then prepare to be dismayed.
